Voqal Parnters’ grantmaking process empowers community-led organizing that fosters a multi-racial, inclusive democracy. Our grantmaking emphasizes the expertise and leadership of our Grantees as they adapt to novel and ongoing challenges. Throughout the year, Voqal Partners also actively participates in and sponsors events to build relationships and strengthen community ties.

Internally, our grantmaking is integrated with other programs, such as the Fellowship and Policy programs, to ensure a collaborative and interdependent approach. This integration facilitates community-led awareness building and supports efforts to leverage community political will. This comprehensive approach underscores our commitment to supporting transformative change and advancing equity through strategic, informed, and community-centered grantmaking.

Voqal Partners prioritizes funding for organizations based in Chicago and the Twin Cities. Voqal Partners works directly with the community to identify potential partners and is working to create a more participatory grantmaking process that includes more voices and democratizes access to community funding. However, Voqal Partners does not currently accept applications or solicitations for grants.
